Where to stay when visiting one of the best spots in the world?
The Jibe City windsurf center is located on the east coast of Bonaire in a nature reserve called Lac. Lac is part of Bonaire National Park and is the biggest lagoon of the Netherlands Antilles (700 hectares).
About our spot
Lac is bordered by a barrier reef across most of its entrance to the open sea, and lush mangroves about everywhere else.
It has two peninsulas: Cai and Sorobon.
Lac is home to three globally endangered species: the Green Turtle, the Queen Conch and the mangrove trees. Jibe City is located on the Sorobon side of the bay.
Besides windsurfing there are many other activities one can enjoy on the not so windy days:
- Snorkeling (gear available in the Jibe City shop)
- Rent a SUP and explore the reef
- Kayaking through the mangrove forest
- Scuba diving outside the coral dam between Lac and the open water (advanced dive)
or just do nothing and have a drink at the Hang Out Bar.
Accommodation
Bonaire offers a wide variety of accommodations ranging from low budget apartments to ocean front villas. Due to the relative small size of the Island you are always within a short driving distance of the Jibe City Windsurf station. Bonaire has no public transport, so renting a car is advisable.
JibeCity Apartments
The JibeCity Apartments consist of four studios located on the JibeCity terrain, only a few steps from the beach.
You can wake up at JibeCity and go straight for a nice morning session, hangout at your own place and catch the best winds of the day!
The apartment is suitable for two guests in the bedroom area and an additional and (when requested in advance) third guest in the living room on the sofa bed.

Shaka is the apartment on the left. It does have a lower ceiling then the other apartments, however it has an additional door and patio.
Aerial is located next to Shaka and Spock. It does not have any connecting doors. You will have two neighbors to share your windsurf stories.
Spock is located on the right side from the middle. It has a connecting door with Flaka, so it's perfect for windsurf families.

Foodies Bay Side Apartment
Looking for a little bit more luxury but still very close to JibeCity? Foodies Bay side Apartments got the best of both worlds! You can have breakfast while looking right at the windsurf spot.
